This month, we’re off to Le Cannet.
Once upon a time, there was a lady: Madame Simone LEGROS…
With great generosity, she chose to bequeath part of her fortune to help children with disabilities and their families.
From this gesture, on 14 June 2013, the Legros Endowment Fund was established, a non-profit organisation with no financial gain.

This social and solidarity economy organisation enables:
- To carry out work in the public interest,
- Or to help other organisations fulfil their mission.
For over 12 years, the Legros Fund has been working pro bono with families, providing personal, educational, legal and sometimes even financial support when certain essential care costs are not covered.
The Legros Fund operates in three main areas:
- Supporting families and people with disabilities
- Advice, support, mediation, and advocacy.
- Sharing knowledge and training
- Drawing on its experience, the Fund provides training to enhance the skills of professionals and stakeholders in the sector.
- Representing and advocating
- Active participation in departmental and national bodies to safeguard people’s rights.
Key figures
- Over 300 people supported each year
- 900 applications processed per year
- 49 trainees trained (2022–2024) – with a 99% satisfaction rate
Since its creation 12 years ago, the endowment fund’s financial resources have come from the bequest of Mrs Simone Legros, but this initial source is now running out.
By 2028, we must find new sources of support to continue this mission of solidarity and fairness.
To keep doing what we do, we need your help.
So let’s not hesitate any longer,
