Listening, viewing and understanding:
Understand words and short expressions. Follow the general idea of a presentation. Understand simple information (figures, prices, timetables) if expressed slowly and clearly. Understand the purpose and main point of an announcement or short message. Find concrete information on everyday, familiar topics. Extract essential information from short recorded passages. Identify the main point of TV news, for example
Reading and understanding
Understand short, simple messages, e.g. by e-mail. Form an idea of the content of an informative text, of the main points of short texts, identify relevant information. Understand and read illustrated stories and short comic strips.
Speak
Describe simple aspects of everyday life. Narrate or describe using a simple list of points. Express preferences by making comparisons. Give a short prepared talk.
Write to
Write simple sentences and expressions. Give a short, basic description

Assessment by the trainer - TOIEC end-of-session test which measures written and oral comprehension skills at beginner to advanced levels and determines whether a person can communicate effectively and fluently in English in a professional context with other people, across borders and cultures.
